They Make Me Who I Am!

I could skip a heartbeat, and I would survive.
I could be in a car crash and still be alive.
The clouds could fall out of the sky.
The oceans could disappear and all turn dry.

These things in life are all bad, I know,
but there’s far worse things, just thought you should know.

Life would not be the same without someone like you.
You’re there when I need you to help me through.
Through the good times and through the bad,
Be them happy or be them sad.

Though there is gold up in the mountains,
Lovely pearls deep in the sea,
Those treasures do not mean as much
As your friendship means to me.

While diamonds may be beautiful,
And worth a lot of money,
They cannot give a warm embrace
Or share jokes we think are funny.

I know it’s true some people
Will collect much priceless art,
Yet I have never seen a picture
That showed me a loving heart.

So I don’t need to spend a fortune
To have what means the most to me.
Knowing that I have had your friendship
Will be a treasured memory.

I don’t have to be with you to know you’re there.
We don’t have to see each other to know that we care.
We could be apart for years upon end
and still remain the best of friends.

Life goes on, and people change,

True friendship comes when the silence between two people is comfortable. The silence not only speaks for itself but also stays as a third best friend. With no words exchanged at all,it is self satisfying. And when you finally find that someone,you have found your best friend,your life long companion.
A best friend is someone who is there for you through thick and thin. It’s someone who listens and understands you. Someone you can call anytime about anything you feel you need to ‘tell’ or ‘vent’. It’s someone who will stand up for you in the times when you need it most, keep your secrets close, and someone you can trust with your life. They will support you in any decision you make even if it’s hard for them. It’s someone who is there for you as much as they can be and does and says whatever they can to up your mood in down times. You can be your COMPLETE and total self around this person without feeling uncomfortable. You can say or do anything, and your relationship never changes. Someone who literally feels sent from heaven to make your life that much easier. Someone who will do almost anything for you as you would do for them, and someone who loves you no matter what kind of stupid things you do. This person will always want the best for you, as you will always want for them. And as much as people change- Your love with a REAL best friend will never  fade  through all the phases of life and problems that come a long with it.

When I go through  hard times, there is  only one  person who is there for me no matter what and that actually makes me better, that’s  my best friend.A best friend is a privilege and one of life’s greatest gifts. True friends are rare and they should be cherished.
Throughout life, we get the chance to meet hundreds, maybe thousands of people in person. Nowadays, we can gather a list of 5000 “friends” on social media in no time. Some of them we get to know more personally and develop some pretty good relationships with, yet how many of them are truly our friends?

A lot of people claim that they have friends everywhere, and maybe they’re really that lucky, but most of us can count our real friends on one hand, and that list shortens with time. We might have a lot of people to hang around or party with, but they’re not the ones we rely on.
True friends are there through the best and the worst of times. They help us grow and when we do, they are genuinely happy for our successes. They lift us up when we’re feeling down, listen to our nonsense, and give us that figurative slap in the face before we make a terrible mistake.
